I’m not disciplined enough to cut/download coupons, but I make it up in looking for ways to save. Sometimes I skip on Starbucks in exchange for office coffee. Forego $5 lemonade and ask for water with a few lemons. You get it!

Last week I had the urge to experiment with new eyeshadow colors after watching makeup tutorials on YouTube. MUAs recommendations got a little overwhelming on which brand to purchase. My dilemma also was, if I spent forty plus dollars on an eyeshadow palette that does not render the results I had hoped for, would I cry over spilled milk? Of course most brands let you return open products, but I rarely make it back to the store in the allotted return period.  So I decided to drop by my local Ross to scan the makeup section aka cart. I found an eight dollar Beauty Treats LA eyeshadow palette that had some of the desired colors. Using Urban Decay primer helped with enhancing the color and wear. My look was complemented with Model 21 lashes that were free!(visit their IG page to get yours). I was quite content with the results of the shadow that I only spent $8 on at Ross.

When the opportunity presents itself to save a few coins, I take advantage of the moment. So, the next time you stop by Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Ross or any of your local discounted  stores, scan the cosmetic section. You might find a few treasures.
