Grown, Flirty and Tulle

When is the last time your wore tulle? At a special occasion like a wedding, a gala, prom, ballet recital, or when you were an adorable baby? For me, it was recently. I surprised my self by wearing an A-line knee-length emerald green tulle skirt as a woman of a particular age. To say it was empowering would not suit this situation. Instead, I felt flirty and playful. 

Last month I made the purchase from Amazon.com.  I’ve been eyeing a similar but more expensive tulle skirt on Instagram. But I wanted the look without an impact on my wallet. It quickly arrived in the same week of anticipation and purchase. Thank you Amazon Prime.

As a full-figured fashionista, I believe in “if you want to wear it…wear it well.” This motto also applies to wearing tulle. 

First, try not to spend too much or be stuck with a nonrefundable purchase.

Next, make sure the skirt has a liner which allows you to make it versatile.

Also, keep in mind the layer count. This skirt has five layers and a liner.

Now, how do you style your look? If you’re feeling bad girl edgy, then pair it with a faux leather moto jacket and bustier. Are you more of a chic kind of gal? Dress it up with a crisp white shirt or shimmery fitted top. If you are feeling sporty and flirty, match it with a graphic tee and tennis shoes. I styled mine with a denim jacket and heels.

Whatever the occasion or your style, make sure you wear it well.
